The fact they are bringing in a lot of new features and making the map a lot bigger than fans are used to is very exciting and shows how much effort they are putting into their new game. The size of the map might have been confusing and surprising, however they are bringing a lot of new stuff to the game, like new playable races, and there is a huge new narrative arc to experience. ME 2.0 will be the current ME map, but with the Mountains of Morn and North/West Cathay added, and hopefully the whole of Lustria and the Southlands represented.įor ME 2, I can honestly imagine them to just shove cathay in the north east instead of its position be in the central east, flanked by the steppes to the north and the jungles to the south.Players look to be in for a great game and there is a lot of anticipation for the latest Warhammer, with the Total War saga continuing, many are wondering whether the third instalment of the story could be the last one. But a complete world map isn't something I'm expecting at this point. So either CA will eventually get around to doing Ind, Khuresh and Nippon, or we aren't getting a complete map (or the rest of Cathay). It just wouldn't make much sense as the East and South of Cathay needs its local threats. You can't really do a complete world map or the whole of Cathay without including Ind, Khuresh, and Nippon. You can't just add these immediately so comparisons of previous ME map tweaking is not comparable. No, because to see all of cathay you also need to include parts of khuresh and ind and I don't see that happening considering the parts missing from the map right now are roughly an entire continent that CA has ommited.
